How to Prepare for an Interview


Interview for a job can be nervous and you may feel uncomfortable facing unexpected questions from the interviewer. However, by learning right technics and tips you can effectively present yourself in front of the employer. A little self-preparation and knowledge of what the employer looking for goes help you to set apart from other candidates appearing for the same post.

Before Interview

Arrive at the venue about 10 to 15 minutes before the scheduled time.Practice typical interview questions. Be prepared about your experience, skills and. Plan and practice some answers to typical interview questions. Use Internet for sample interview sessions.

Recruiters usually ask questions related to following categories

  1. About yourself, which includes your experience and qualification.

During Interview

Greet the interviewer with a firm handshake. Listen carefully for the interviewer’s name and designation. Maintain eye contact, positive attitude and smile throughout the interview. Try to speak in complete sentences in formal vocabulary. Carry an extra copy of your resume and a pen.
Be honest, thoughtful, polite and knowledgeable for all questions. Answer clearly with enough information. Take a moment to think before replying questions. Remain relaxed no matter what question is asked.
Conclude interview by thanking the interviewer for the effort and time spent for you.
